Artist Guild Members Paint to Support Local History

Nine artists from the Artist Guild of Dickson County plein air painted at the Promise Land  in Charlotte, TN on Saturday March 14th. The paintings were then donated to the Promise Land Heritage Association for their upcoming Spring Art Gala on April 17th at the Bibb Center in White Bluff. 

"We had perfect weather and it was great to see so many Guild members come out and be generous with their time and talent.  Many of them had never been to the property before so it was great to hear first hand about the history of the area from Serina Gilbert," said Artist Guild President, Reuben Smith.   

Local artist and guild member Randy Toy said, "It was just really great to get out here and learn about the history and see it first hand and try to capture that spirit in the canvas."
