Vicki Niolet, Paper Moon

Vicki Niolet creates mixed media constructions and jewelry from found objects. Born in Dickson, she spent 30 years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast in the artist community of Bay St. Louis, where she was a gallery owner, art center director, and mixed media artist. From 1981 to 2023, she traveled the national craft show circuit and was represented by galleries in New Orleans, Atlanta, Sausalito, and New York.

She produced an instructional video “Practical Papermaking” in 1990 and began teaching papermaking workshops throughout the region. In 2002, she founded an artist co-op that served the community for 20 years with a classrooms and artist studios.

Vicki returned to Dickson in 2023 and lives in her grandparents' renovated home creating her original mixed media. Her favorite quote, "Arrange whatever pieces come your way" (Virginia Woolf), guides her in rearranging her remarkable collection of found objects into art.
